Kitty Alone Adapted by John Feierabend
Item #:
G-9548
Price:
$17.95
This beautifully illustrated version of the folk song "Kitty Alone" was conceived by illustrator Mina Echevarria, who suggested setting the song in the Appalachian Mountains and using a bobcat as the title character. Since they are rarely seen in the daytime, Appalachian locals refer to the bobcat as the “woods ghost.” Here the bobcat explores the evening darkness of the forest and encounters new friends through each verse of the song.
Like the other picture books in John M. Feierabend’s First Steps in Music series, Kitty Alone includes a description of the song's history, along with full music notation and a link to download a recording of the song sung by Jill Trinka.Book, 32 pages.
