The Studio 49 GSd soprano Glockenspiel has special steel
sound bars measuring 20 x 2 mm, and fabric coated tubing for lasting
durability. The tone is thinner than the SGd 2000, but still pleasant.
The pitch range is c3-f4 diatonic, with c1 being middle C. Each instrument
comes with f-sharp and b-flat bars, and one pair of GS mallets. The resonator box
is made of solid beech, and includes a holder on the front of the box for the three
extra bars. Please note, the range of this glockenspiel is 2 notes shorter
than the SGd.
