$29.95
This teacher's guide is the first in a set of three volumes, first published between
1977 and 1984, which are intended to help teachers use the Orff-Schulwerk
approach in an American context. The five basic German volumes of Music for
Children by Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman, were published between 1950 and
1954, and the considerable growth of Orff-Schulwerk in the United States led to
the publication of these companion editions to satisfy the requirements of a
different
educational system and national heritage. Each volume contains sample
lessons
and a selection of essays by leading practitioners of the Orff approach. While
Volume 1 is
intended for use with preschool students, much of the material is also applicable to
primary school classes.Book, 80 pages.
