Sonor Primary Line instruments were completely
re-designed in 2010, for sound optimization, and environmental
stewardship.
They are the first Orff instruments to be FSC certified. This ensures
eco-friendly production and sustainable harvesting of all wood used.
The GBMP 1.1 deep bass metallophone has metal alloy
sound bars measuring 35 x 10 mm. They receive overtone tuning up to
"a"
and fundamental tuning from "b-flat". The bars are narrower than
those of the GBKM 10, and feature the note name and staff notation printed in
the
center of each bar. The pitch range is c-a1 diatonic, with c1 being middle
C. All Sonor instruments include f-sharp and b-flat bars. The
resonator box is made of FSC birch plywood with a six resonance
chambers.
It includes brackets for use with accessory legs or the Basis Trolley
system.
The GBMP 1.1 comes with one pair of SCH 15 mallets, and coordinates with
chromatic extension GBMP 2.1.
