The nail set is used to gain access to the head of nails and tacks in recessed spaces, such as when installing tubing on Suzuki xylophones and metallophones. We are NOT sinking the nail heads into wood here, we are simply using wire nails or furniture nails to secure tubing at the ends of xylophones, metallophones or glockenspiels.
The nail set is also very helpful when using wire nails to install Sonor ZB1 rigid strip tubing to Sonor Primary, Global Beat or other glockenspiel resonator boxes that use the ZB1.
Set the narrow end of the nail set on the nail head. Strike the wide end of the nail set with your hammer.
