The Studio 49 AM 1600 alto metallophone has aluminum sound bars measuring 30 x 6 mm.  The pitch range is c1-a2 diatonic, with c1 being middle C.  Each instrument comes with f-sharp and b-flat bars, and one pair of S 7 mallets. The resonator box is made of pine with multiple resonance chambers for excellent sound quality.  Attached handles are incorporated into the design for carrying ease.  The AM 1600 coordinates with chromatic extension H-AM 1600.
