The Sonor TAKM 10 Meisterklasse alto metallophone has
special alloy metal sound bars measuring 38 x 10 mm. This is Sonor’s most
resonant alto metallophone. The bars receive overtone tuning up to b1 and
fundamental tuning from c2. The pitch range is c1-c3, diatonic, with c1
being middle C. F-sharp and b-flat bars are included. The Meisterklasse
altos are the only metallophones with a range of 2 full octaves.
The resonator box is made of pine and has five resonance
chambers. Brackets are included for use with accessory legs or the Basis
Trolley system. The TAKX 10 comes with two pairs of SCH 16 mallets, and
coordinates with chromatic extension TAKM 20.
