The Sonor TAKX 100 Meisterklasse alto xylophone comes
with Palisono bars measuring 38 x 15 mm. Palisono is a high-density
fiberglass material developed by Sonor. It is highly resistant to changes in
temperature and humidity, making it extremely pitch stable in all climates.
The timbre of Palisono bars is slightly brighter than rosewood, but equally
resonant and pleasing to the ear.
The pitch range of the TAKX 100 is c1-c3 with c1 being
middle C. The Meisterklasse altos are the only xylophones with a range of 2 full
octaves. The resonator box is made of pine and features three resonance
chambers. Brackets are included for use with accessory legs or the Basis
Trolley system. The TAKX 100 comes with two pairs of SCH 11 mallets and
coordinates with chromatic extension TAKX 200.
